Things finally started picking up with the arrival of additional Konoha forces, though the trapped Joobs and other Kemuri fella were still nervously bouncing around in his mind. Luckily Shouko brought it up and gave Mizui a method of getting up to save them in the form of a large ink bird. Nodding eagerly he boarded the ink creation and retrieved his katana that hung at his side. “Let’s go now! The longer we wait the higher the risk of permanent damage to Joobs!”
He gave a nasty look to the wood user, who seemed to be trying to leverage the hostages as she asked the Hokage what should be down with them. “Fuck that, we’re acting now. You’ve already been given your orders, haven’t you done enough already?”
The heat of the moment had Mizui toss caution to the wind, all he cared about was saving as many lives as possible. He knew Shouko was expertly trained with the bow she pointed at the wood user, confident that she’d act if needed and allow him to save the wounded.
Once the bird rose to the position where they hung all wrapped up in branches Mizui surged chakra into his right arm, swelling it up and giving him the extra power needed to cut through the tough wood. Slicing with a ferocious precision Mizui quickly freed the wounded men, the Kemuri fella was particularly close to the edge. Pulling them both onto the bird he yelled to Shouko, needing a more steady ground for the delicate work that was required.
“Shouko, lower the bird so I can start treatment immediately. I need to extract the poison before working on their broken limbs.”
Time being of the essence he immediately sheathed his blade and began refining a huge amount of chakra, having two patients that needed extensive work. Once they were brought back to the ground he focused on Joobs, pressing his left hand against the side of his abdomen and placed his right hand on his stomach to work on collecting and extracting the poison that had donked him out. Being careful to keep the potent poison from coming into contact with his hands he retrieved the empty vials from his robe and bottled it up for later study. Performing the same procedure on the large beefy Kemuri fella he filled another vial with the pathogen, now getting to work on their mangled limbs. A green aura lit up around both his hands, working both patients at the same time to ensure their lives weren’t in danger.
After several minutes he wiped his brow, having exerted quite a bit of chakra in a short amount of time. The both of them were out of death's door, but they would still need to take it easy and likely spend some time in a real hospital before they would be fit for shinobi duty again. Looking to Shouko he gave a reassuring nod, offering a weak report on the two of them. “They’ll live… Probably have to spend a while in the hospital to fully recover, but they should be able to still be shinobi once they’re better.”
