It was unusually cloudy, a rarity in the Land of Wind. The sky was grey and dark instead of it's usual blue and bright. Ty Lee sat at the edge of a building, swinging her feet lackadaisically back and forth while she watched the people below her walking this way and that. She had her elbow propped on her knee and her chin in her hand, eyes half-closed as they followed everyday life in the village. She wasn't wearing her usual shinobi outfit, instead wearing her casual outfit of a normal schoolgirl, though her's was all black. Gloves with the insignia of Jashin on the tops of them over her hands and her hair, usually in two messy pigtails, was instead in a long braid. "You'd think a single one of them would look up by now." She muttered absent-mindedly. Everyone below her kept their head forward or down, paying no attention to anything but what lie ahead of them. She wondered why that was such a common thought process? What was it about the future that made experiencing the now so difficult? A soft ringing of bells filled the air as the ones tied into her braid shifted in the wind. She lifted her head from her palm and fell back, staring at the sky. "Man, you don't get days like this too often, why isn't anyone enjoying it?"
She sat up with a grunt and picked inside her ear for a moment with a gloved pinky finger. Pulling her finger away she noticed a rather tall guy walking around. His blonde hair seemed to get in his eyes every so often, causing him to flip his head quickly to clear his line of sight. A soft glint showed every few steps and Ty Lee's eyes narrowed as a grin spread across her lips. "I haven't seen this guy before, but he's got a forehead protector, must be one of those shinobi I've heard so much about." She laughed softly, a kekeke sound, as she flicked her own protector, worn as a bow around her neck and then hopped off of ledge of the building. "GERANIMOOOOOOO!" She called out as she landed smack dab next to the tall guy. She looked him up and down and then up again, tilting her head to look him in the eyes.
"Hey, how'd you get so tall? I keep stretching and this is all I got." She raised her arms into the air and stretched herself to be as tall as possible, but was still a good seven or more inches shorter than the guy.
"Ah, another beautiful day," Itsuki softly sighed. He had slinked out of bed and decided to go for a walk after a light breakfast. He started to walk down the street wearing only his usual attire, his lanky frame had a slight bounce to it as he progressed. As he bobbed around the groups of people, Itsuki gazed around him and in a brief moment of introspection he thought to himself, "Theres so many people around me, and this thung on my forehead symbolizes my job to keep them safe." when he snapped back to reality he heard a voice resound through the mindless chatter. When he looked to the noise he saw a girl coming down from above. Itsuki quickly took a step back and was gasping for breath from suprise. As Itsuki looked at her he quickly calmed down as he heard her speak. Itsuki listened to her question and thought for a second before responding with "Well, I guess I lucked out in the height department huh. The names Itsuki, whats your name and hows it going?" the fact that Itsuki was happy to be talking to her was evidinced by his smile and his relaxed upbeat posture.
"I see, I see, luck you say. Something something genetics, yes? Tell me, Itsuki was it? What might a shinobi of Sunagakure be doing walking around by himself?" She smirked wickedly, a finger placed against the side of her jaw. She hmm'd and hummed and then clapped her hands, "I'm Ty Lee by the way, how could I have forgotten? That was awfully rude of me." The girl made her way around Itsuki, studying him as she did so. She stopped beside him, leaning forward and nodding her head twice, "Yes, yes, you'll do fine. Listen Mr. Itsuki, fine protector of the Sunagakure civilians, shinobi of the Land of Wind!" She snapped her fingers and held one of her hands straight up into the air, a finger pointing at the sky. "We're going to paint the town red." She flashed a smile that was all teeth and narrowed her eyes, a soft "kekeke" laugh accompanying it all.
She put her hands behind her back, holding her left wrist with her right. She started to skip down the street, whistling happily. She looked back over her shoulder, a lock of hair falling off of her nose, her eyes were more serious now and the joyful girlishness from before was gone. "I wasn't asking."
Itsuki litsned to the girl before he spoke "I'm here alone beacause I was bored." Itsuki was quickly unstteled as he saw her smile but be continued to listen to her speak. He watched her with a look of confusion as she leaned towards him. He was stunned watching and listing to Ty Lee before he realized what she meant by painting the town red. Itsuki gazed at her with a look of disgust and anger. He watched as she skipped away from him and once he heard what she said he to him Itsuki ran. He didnt run away from Ty Lee but towards her with one goal protect the village. As he ran he yelled out obviously blisteringly scared for the citizens "Your not going to hurt any of them! Me on the other hand, well its my job to keep these people safe so will die if I have too. Im going to give you a word of advice. Watch out." He attempted to run past her and cut her off giving a fearful yet angry glare towards her. He cracked his knuckles trying his best to make his scrawny frame look more intimdating. He asked one final question "How do you want to handle this."[/color[
OoC: With Poor Wisdom you would have no idea that Ty Lee was a Jashinist, nor have any idea of what Jashinism is in the first place, so I'm just going to roll with this like you took what she said the wrong way.
"Oh?" Ty Lee watched in silent amusement as Itsuki ran toward her. She stifled a giggle behind a gloved hand as the guy started rambling and screaming. Try as she might, she doubled over laughing. "What are you talking about? I'm a shinobi of this village too." She managed to squeeze out between her laughing. She stood and wiped her eye, sighing, "You need to learn how to lighten up, guy." She cut him a serious look, questioning why he suddenly took offense to a pretty common phrase. She crossed her arms and closed one eye, studying the valiant Itsuki. "What was that even about anyway? Never have a girl ask you to do something before?" She walked beside the tall Genin as they looked in opposite directions. "Never talk to me that way again."
After a moment of silence she smiled and leaned backwards, looking up at the tall Genin. "So what do you want to do, Mr. Martyr? I think it's cute that you're so willing to die for the people of our village. More than I could say for myself if we're being honest."
[Ooc i really did like rl i didnt realize what paint the town red meant. Ie only heard it in context as in murder. Whoops]
Itsuki stared at Ty Lee waiting for a response. Itsuki was absolutly stunned by the fact she was laughing at him. He listened to her and his look of anger quickly turned into one of shame. His stance quickly reverted to a somewhat tence and akward look as he heard her question. He apologetically said "oh no im I'm so sorry. Seriously. I thought when you said paint the town red you meant to kill as in paint with bloid Im very sorry. Also no I havent really talked to many people at all. I lived with my uncle and he was kind of a shut in." Itsuki paused for a moment and berifly watched her approach and listned to her tell him not to speak luke that again. "I'm verry sorry, I wont speak like that anymore you have my honor." He stopped speaking again and listned once more. The embarssment was starting to wipe from his face but he still was somewhat blushing. "What do I want to do." he pondered to himself." He spoke up in a much more gentle a kinder tone and kneeled down, "Well if there is anything at all I could do for you to make up for the scene I caused thats what I want to do. I owe to you for what I have done, for nearly attacking you. Im sorry." He actually gave a somewhat pleading look as he was quite frustrated with himself for nearling attacking her.
She reached up and placed a hand on Itsuki's shoulder. She was laughing again and shaking her head softly, the ring of bells chiming in with her laughter. "You're a silly guy, Itsuki." She flashed him a genuine smile. She knew what it was like to be a shut in, away from people. She was glad she had run into him now, to show him what he was missing out on. She withdrew her hand and put an index finger on each cheek, "You. Need. To. Smile! Seriously, you've got nothing to apologize for, misunderstandings happen y'know? If it had ended up in you attacking me, we'd have a funny thing to look back on. At least I know you're willing to protect these fine people." She gestured widely to the random strangers that had all stopped to look at the commotion. Ty Lee brushed them off and after she and Itsuki seemed to work it out, they went back to their normal stranger activities.
Now that they were on the same page, the Shikome turned back, tilting her head up to meet his eyes. "You hungry? It's on me unless you eat as much as you look like you can eat, in which case you're on your own bud." She smirked, knowing full well that it wasn't actually on her but on one of the ANBU she knew was onlooking. If she just walked out on the meal, then they would pay for it, happened every time.
Itsuki looked to Ty Lee and felt her hand on his shoulder. He listned quite intently and heard what she had to say. After she took her hand off of his shoulder he stood up and bryshed the dirt off of himself. He continued to listen to her with a mild smile from the fact he wad haloy that Ty Lee was not mad at him. He then spoke "You know what your probrably right I need to chill," he watched as she waved off the strangers. After that Itsuki gave her a quick smile and continued to listen to her. "You know what Icould go for some food. If you buying i will accept." He said energeticky. He smirked as he said "Don't worry under this cloak I really dont wigh all that much. So where shall we go to?" Itsuki stood there calmly looking much more energized than before as he brushed his hair from his eyes and stood with motivated llok.
"Oh, so you're a twigboy? Well, we'll just have to fatten you up!" She clapped her hands and then folded them across her chest. Tapping away at her elbow she contemplated what kind of food to get. Itsuki was a tall guy and tall guys ate a lot, but he was also a twigboy and those didn't eat so much. Maybe he ate a moderate amount? She mumbled to herself for a bit before shrugging finally. "You don't look like the vegetarian type and don't get me started on vegans. How does barbecue sound? Nothing like eating dead animals amirite?" She gave him a grin nodded toward the end of the street where a fairly popular barbecue place was. Honestly she didn't really mind where they ate but this place was closer and being lazy sounded wonderful on such a cloudy day. Without the sun's usual presence she felt kind of lethargic. Oh no, what if I'm part plant???
Her mind trailed back to Itsuki's previous outburst. His blind willingness to protect so called innocents, his resolve to die for people who he would never know. It was strange. If that's what being a shinobi meant to him, how would he fare when he had to kill or be killed. It was one thing to willingly die for something, but it was an entirely different story to take a life. She shrugged again, it wasn't really her concern, to each their own and whatnot. A single drop of something wet hit her on the nose. She looked up and a second drop of water landed on her forehead. "Rain in Sunagakure, it's the end times."
