Kirigakure (Formerly Otogakure)
A sensor clan born from the bloodline of the 'Tengu', a cousin to the Byakugan and a clan based on the principles of honor and loyalty. They often have reddish flesh, comparable to a tan with a hint more crimson in the mix. It could be said that in looks they look almost like their ancestors (The Tengu Spirits) in human form with their large noses and bushied brows.
Their history is based off a mutation long ago, some people believe that it is from a genetic merger both the Uchiha and the Hyuuga, though this has never been confirmed. This mutation however produced powerful eye abilities, but with ninja of weak constitution. They never compared to the strength of the Senju, Hyuuga and the Uchiha back in ancient times, and were shunned from the Hidden Leaf by the Uchiha and the Hyuuga as they were considered too weak. Many of the Karasu hid their powers, as they considered themselves to be abominations of nature. The few who became ninja were incapable of fighting at the level of jounin, and were forced into more alternative roles such as Healers or Researchers.
However one Karasu is famous throughout all time: just as famous as Madara, Sasuke, Itachi, and Shinji of the Uchiha Clan. In fact the latter was mentored by this great man. His name was Ryujin, and he was known as Ronin by many. He was one of the strongest Karasu of his time, and was capable of engaging even Kage-level opponents with his power. He lead both Otogakure and the Akatsuki, as he dreamed of revolutionizing the Shinobi World (a dream that the new Otokage had taken in stride). His unparalleled intellect combined with his visual prowess allowed him to copy even the famous Lightning Release Armor and the Eight Gates. Unfortunately despite his strength however, even he died of disease and had the Shukaku released from him.
The Karasu from there on existed within the Empire of Otogakure. Kaito Karasu being the only notable member from that clan, as he became a well-known Jounin of Otogakure, before his tragic death against Kumogakure's forces. Kaito's prowess of the Tengu and his own intellect allowed him to control the battlefield and shift entire campaigns in his favor. He became Tatsuya's chief advisor during the later years of his life.
When Otogakure fell into decline however with the power vacuum left by the late Tatsuya's death (along with their Clan Leader)- the clan fell into hard times across several decades. Eventually they sought refuge within Kirigakure, where the Mizukage Benjiro accomodated them and reinstated them as ninja of the Mist. It's been said that they continue to lack any notable characters as of late. Most of them are Genin/Chuunin level shinobi who have very supportive and nonviolent roles.
Thick facial features such as a broad nose, large eyes and sturdy jawline, a thick head of hair which usually results in hair growth being accelerated beyond that of a regular shinobi and looking almost feathery in appearance. They tend to be quite small and stocky, broad shouldered with either a muscular or portly physique depending on the amount of training.
The clan tend to have black or pure white hair and are usually born with hazel or reddish hair that fades over time. They're eyes are often a deep purple nearing on black though can also be a deepened blue or grey every so often.
Loyalists to the core, the Karasu are known to follow their personal codes and morale rules to their death opting to face the uncertainty of death with their head held high and honor in their hearts over fleeing from combat. For this reason alone they are often made gatekeeprs, or hunter ninja, even squad commanders within their villages and are placed upon the front line of most encounters. Along with a variety of attributes that make them perfect for hunting and tracking fellow shinobi, this clan is the hunter, the executor and finds it's place in the way of destruction of their own kind. Outside of the role of honor the Karasu are known to be heavy drinkers and socialisers, it is often seen that the Karasu are encouraged to be grand speakers and story tellers along with entertainers and their culture reflects this as even the most timid Karasu is often seen joking around and congratulating both team mate and enemy.
The bloodline is split into three unique levels, each with it's own purpose.
The first level is known as 'Nestling Tengu', this level of the Karasu bloodline activated by forming a bond with another person (4 topics with another player + 250 CP Spent, Does Not Count Towards ACP)
This allows the Karasu member to access the 'vision' aspect of the bloodline giving them the ability to see through a multitude of objects and sense chakra at the rank of 'Sensor Major'. The range of their penetrating senses is up to 350 meters. Penetrating senses allow the user a small window into the happenings of those around them, projecting their field of vision anywhere within their range in front of them. The Tengu is incapable of using any of its special jutsu.
The second level is known as 'Soaring Tengu', which is reached through the forming of two bonds (5 topics each with two different players + 500 EXP spent) and having engaged in real combat at least twice (with another player)!
This allows the user to train and use the techniques 'Tengu's curse', 'Tengu's Sight' and 'Tengu's Sense', and 'Tengu's Gift'. The user's eyes are now capable of sensing chakra at the capacity of a Sensory Specialist, and utilize penetrating senses for 600m.
Karasu Clan Members DO Gain the Advantages that the Sensory FS would normally grant them - as their eyes allow them to scan and read the intent of an enemy's chakra for the purposes of evasion.
The Kekkei Genkai is not omniscience. Unlike the Byakugan it cannot see three hundred and sixty degrees but is limited by the perception depth of normal human eyes.
It has the capability to see up to its maximum distance, however can only check on a specific area not everything in between. (Ranmaru could watch the farmers plowing the fields and later focus on Raiga who was crying..but he can't watch both at the same time. He has to focus on a specific area whether it is a shack or a field, etc. etc...this projected perception has a target area of about 10m
) The users sensory abilities however are limited to the same limits as those of their equivalent sensory levels.
They do not benefit from the range of penetrating senses as they are not the same ability.
Like all Dojutsu it is susceptible to things of blinding light or even a simple flash bomb you can buy in the shop. The eye is not capable of piercing through genjutsu like the Sharingan or Byakugan.
Number of members: 4 maximum - Kirigakure
Name: Tengu's Blessing
Type: Ninjutsu, Kinjutsu
Sub-type: Supplementary, Summoning.
Elemental Affinity: N/A
Notation: Clan, Bloodline
Handsigns: Hands placed on users chest
Description: At the sacrifice of their own life, the Karasu member may give up their own energy to revive a fallen comrade or body. Similar to one's own life jutsu.
Name: Tengu's Curse
Range: Tengu Eye
Type: Dojutsu, Ninjutsu
Elemental Affinity: Yin/Yang
Notation: Clan, Bloodline
Handsigns: Eye contact
Description: Disrupts a dojutsu (essentially 'turning it off') for five posts by creating chakra particles that they can transmit into the air to confuse dojutsus. In the case of the Byakugan they are simply seeing inorganic chakra networks which prevents them from telling the difference between fakes and reality. The Sharingan (as well as the Fuuingan) simply sees a giant field of chakra.. preventing them from discerning who or what is actually real and what isn't. This prevents them from gaining the advantages of their respective dojutsu. This technique is also known as the Chakra Ghost Technique.
Drawbacks: Useless against normal vision as they cannot see chakra (which requires the use of the Hidden Mist technique to disrupt the vision of normal targets).
Name: Tengu's Sight.
Type: Ninjutsu, Dojutsu
Elemental Affinity: (If None list N/A)
Notation: Clan, Bloodline
Handsigns: Viewing a technique used
Description: Allows the user to have access to learning a technique viewed in battle. By analyzing the flow of chakra in one's body combined with the intellect to understand the necessary hand seals in the jutsu, they figure out how to perform the jutsu themselves.
Drawbacks: Unlike the Sharingan this technique does not spontaneously allow someone to learn a new technique. Techniques cannot be learned in the heat of battle, but recalled afterward. It analyzes the way one's life force is applied into the jutsu and requires a high intellect (based off Jutsu Knowledge aspect of Wisdom). People with Proficient Wisdom can learn how Canon techniques up to C work, Masterful Wisdom Canon Techniques up to B rank/Custom Techniques up to C rank and so forth.
Name: Tengu Sense
Elemental Affinity: (If None list N/A)
Notation: Bloodline, Clan
Handsigns: Viewing a person
Description: Allows the user to view another's life force and look for any disruptions/how close one is to death. This is useful for applying Ijutsu treatment to allies! This allows the target to detect the enemy's durability!
Drawbacks: Pretty useless apart from poisons and parasitic techniques and only allows them to view life levels as opposed to regulate them.
