It was the fourth straight day of rain in the Land of Earth. The weather was nothing less than dreadful; cold, foggy, and all together weather that no one in their right mind would want to travel through. Compared to Shikaji and Junko's honeymoon to the Land of Waterfalls, from which they were now returning to the Land of Earth to meet up with Chojiro, it was miserable. The cold and rain had drastically slowed their travel speed. The rain itself might not have slowed down Shikaji that much if he was by himself, but with a civilian like Junko, he knew that they could only feasibly go so far each today. They would travel each day as far as she could handle, but no further, and even then Shikaji expected that Junko likely pushed her limits further than she should each time they traveled. As always, he was willing to take her word, and if she said she was fine to continue, they would continue, but that didn't mean that Shikaji was exactly satisfied with the prospect.

The experience was miserable, to the point that even the otherwise stoic Shikaji would have appreciated a break. So, when Junko suggested such, he was pliant enough to agree. Though he figured what what she had in mind was likely an extended rest at an inn, Shikaji had something else in mind. He didn't bother explaining the details of the plan to her, knowing that his wife would happily agree with his plan no matter what it likely was. Besides, there was something exciting about surprises like this. He was sure he would enjoy Junko's reaction to the sudden change in scenery, and that alone made the excursion at least interesting, even if it wa a bit of a hassle to go through. A quick use of the Summoning Technique brought forth an elderly pair of toads, a male with a white mohawk and a female with purple curly hair. "Oh, Shika-boy! It's been so long since you've summoned us. My, my, and who is this?! A lady friend? Oh, oh, I'm Ma and this is Pa," Cried the female toad, clasping her hands together with a dreamy sigh as she introduced both herself and her husband to the white-haired girl. The male toad, arms folded over his chest, grunted in approval. "A good catch, lad, though not as good as Ma," Fukasaku said with a nod. "Oh, you!"

"Ma, Pa," Shikaji casually greeted, prompting the lovingly-bickering to quiet down and turn their attention to him. "This is Junko, she's my wife," he explained. "Congratulations, my boy!" The elder toad complimented, followed by a horrified shriek from the elder female. "And we weren't invited to the wedding?!" Glancing at Junko with his ring-eyed gaze, Shikaji let his sight linger on his curvaceous wife for a moment before returning to the two toads. "It was a... small ceremony," he justified, having chosen his words relatively carefully. His thoughts drifted for a moment back to the romp he had with his wife at the Cliffhanger, and the events that had followed it in their little ceremony. Small, indeed, though the details of it were something likely better left unexplained to the two elderly toads. There was no need to be particularly scandalous, least of all when he was about to ask the two of them for a favor.

"Listen, Ma, Pa, we could use your help. We're on the way back from our honeymoon and it's been raining for several days, so my okusan wanted to get out of the rain for a while. I figure, why stop at the inn when she and I could take a trip to the Land of Fire for a little while. We can take the portal from Mount Myouboku to the Land of Fire, but we'll need someone here in the Land of Earth to summon us back at the end of the day so we can meet back up with Chojiro when we're done," Shikaji explained, prompting a grunt from Fukasaku. "So you want us to wait here until the end of the day, and then summon you back?" He questioned.

"If one of you could go back for a moment to let someone know to reverse-summon us to Mount Myouboku, too, that would be appreciated. She and I will be on a date, and you and Ma can have a date here," Shikaji offered, glancing towards the purple-haired toad, whose hands clasped together again as her eyes turned to stars. "Oh, my! It's been so long since Pa and I have had a proper date! Of course we'll help you out, Shika-boy!" Hina agreed.

"All this rain will hurt my back," Pa groaned, prompting a smack to the back of his head from Ma. "What kind of toad doesn't like water?" Turning her attention to the two humans, Hina gave them a kindly smile. "You two dearies get ready, I'll head back and summon you. Pa, when I've summoned them, I want you to summon me again. I bet this rain will do wonders for my complexion!" Disappearing in a puff of smoke, the two humans were left alone with Pa, who unfolded his arms and rubbed the back of his head in exasperation, prompting a short laugh from Shikaji as the tokubetsu jounin scooped Junko up into his arms. As a non-signatory of the contract, she couldn't be reverse-summoned to Mount Myouboku, but if he was carrying her she could be taken with him.

"Don't be too mad, Pa, I'm sure you two will have a good time," Shikaji said, resulting in a playful wink in reply from the grandfatherly toad, before Shikaji could feel a pulling sensation that signaled that he was about to be summoned. In a puff of smoke and after a brief feeling of falling, Shikaji landed on his feet, with Junko still in his arms, in the colorful world of Mount Myouboku.

The constant rain had even Junko’s usually pleasant smile just a tad less so. It weren’t as though she couldn’t simply walk in the showers, but the clouds and drizzle (or sometimes outright pouring) were doing their best to affect the mood, and the busty girl couldn’t help but feel her clothes clinging to her body (such that her clothes were, the outfit that Shikaji had picked out for her hardly covering her top at all). She went on as best she could, however, occasionally letting her fingers touch and play with the choker about her neck when she felt particularly dreary. Hoping they might wait out the rain, and knowing that at the very least Shikaji felt similarly about the weather, she suggested a bit of a break – but what he had in mind was, as usual, quite the surprise. Before she knew it, she was face to face with a pair of somewhat large toads, each of them sporting more human-like features than she would have expected and even being able to speak. The conversation seemed to progress without her, mostly, so when she was mentioned, she nodded her head and gave a slight bow, hands clasped in front of her and blue eyes closed. “Hajimemashite,” she said quietly, preferring to remain seen and not really heard in front of these people who were obviously important to her husband.

I never even knew… never asked about his family! Did they raise him? Was Shujin-sama raised by toads?! she thought to herself, but her expression remained pleasant and open, waiting for their little exchange to finish. Summon? Reverse-summon? They used terminology she could only pull the meaning in from context, but when she was pulled up into Shikaji’s arms, the girl felt herself flush and cling to him, arms wrapping about the male’s neck. It felt nice to be in the care of someone so capable, and her head rested against his chest. In the next moment, however, she felt slightly as though she’d dropped, her chest fluttering and eyes popping open in surprise. Junko handled the sudden transportation well, however, taking in a deep breath to steady herself and blinking up at her husband, the bright sun beaming down on them both. “Wh-where are we?” she asked timidly.

With the sudden change of scener, Junko seemed understandably confused. Whether she was confused simply because they had changed locations at all, or if it was because Mount Myouboku in particular was so strange, he was not sure. Certainly, there was nowhere else that Shikaji knew of that rivaled the road mountain. Vibrant colors of flora and fauna that one would normally never expect to see in nature; an absolutely gorgeous sight that, until Shikaji would lay eyes on a leyline several days later, would perhaps be the most beautiful thing that he had ever seen. After his young wife, of course.

The sun was shining brightly on the mountain this particular day, a nice change of pace from the days of rain in the Land of Earth. Shikaji wondered if it had been this sunny here for several days straight, and if that was why Ma had been so anxious to get away from it all in the rain. While the Nara could have sat Junko down now, he elected against it. He enjoyed the feeling of her arms around his neck, her head tucked against his chest. "This is Mount Myouboku, land of the toads," he explained as he began making his way down the mountain, towards a series of buildings in the distance that were reminiscent of a small village. "I trained here for a long time when I was younger. It's kind of like a second home," he confessed, his tinged eyes focused on up ahead. He didn't usually take many pleasures in things, but Mount Myouboku was perhaps the only place he could feel at peace. It was a place that he hasn't brought anyone else - not even Chojiro - until now, a place that had been reserved for his own solitude from other humans.

"Don't tell Chojiro," he lightly teased. "I've never even brought him here." Slowly, the two made progress towards the village, Shikaji ocassionally nodding in greeting to a toad who greeted them. "We're going to go from here to a beach; we're in the Land of Fire now."

Held in Shikaji's arms, Junko was fine with just letting him have her weight, her shining blue eyes gazing thankfully up to her husband. The hunter-nin seemed to keep her so easily in his arms, as though her weight were of no consequence whatsoever. Hearing more about his life before her made her feel that warm sensation in her tummy, the same feeling that made her smile happily, hug herself and curl up slightly, late at night when she sometimes couldn't sleep, when she remembered that this wasn't a dream and that she wasn't going to wake up back in the Cliffhanger. It was a feeling she tried to achieve when, sometimes, a great sadness and anxiety welled up in her for what reason she didn't know. When eyes watered inexplicably and she felt like she had lost something, she reminded herself that she had Shikaji, she was safe, she was wanted, and sometimes she could even feel this warmth. It was the best feeling in the world.

"Junko won't tell," she promised with a little smile, no doubt still dripping from the rain as she was carried. So, this was the Land of Fire? Was everywhere in that land like this, or was it just this amazing mountain, the land of the toads? The girl couldn't help peeking around at the different sights, wondering if she was going to get a swimsuit or if she'd be expected to... "The beach? Junko's never been! It sounds fun," she replied, wiggling a little in his arms.

Knowing that Junko had never been to the beach, Shikaji was pleased that he could share another first with her. While some may have found Junko's lack of experience bothersome, Shikaji quite enjoyed watching her experience things for the first time, examining her facial expressions, the twinkle in her eyes, the smile that would spread across her face. It was, in a word, cute. Eventually, the pair reached the small village, and Shikaji weaved through the familiar-but-narrow streets to a well-used building, something that served a purpose akin to the intelligence-office of the toads of Mount Myouboku. "I'm sure you're the talk of the town," Shikaji said, teasing his wife softly as they entered the building, and where, once inside, he gently set her down. It was likely clear to see that they were in a relationship, and such news would likely spread relatively quickly through the close-knit toads, who were admittedly prone to gossip.

Making his way across the room with a curt nod to one of the toad attendants that managed the portal to Konohagakure, Shikaji knew that no words were really needed here. The purpose whenever someone came here was generally clear; to use the well to enter Konoha. Shikaji always was grateful for the fact that he didn't need to reiterate his purpose each time, and motioning for Junko to follow, he stepped to the side of the well so she could examine it. "This is a portal," he casually explained. "Going through on this end will mean he come out in my home, Konohagakure no Sato, on the other side," he continued, moving back to stand infront of the pool of water. It used to be a part of a small shrine complex, the Nara had been told, but even Mount Myouboku, it seemed, had modernized somewhat with the times.

"I'll go through first, you follow after. It might be a little bit of a tight fit," he mused, glancing at the large orbs that protruded from Junko's chest. "You'll get wet, too, but we're already soaked from the rain, so it shouldn't matter that much. I'll go through first, so I can catch you on the other side. Watch closely," he commanded as he stopped up and onto the edge of the pool, before jumping straight down into it. As if sinking into a deep swimming pool, he continued to sink downward and downward, holding his breath, until the feeling of swimming was replaced with falling, and he landed, wet but none the worse for wear, on an empty street in Konohagakure. There, he extended his arms, prepared to catch Junko who would follow after him.

“Well, Shujin-sama’s favorite outfit leaves little to be imagined,” she replied with a little heat in her cheeks, thinking at first that he simply meant she was showing a lot of skin. He did seem to like teasing her in that way, even though he was the one that picked it out. She could imagine what people thought of her, and those thoughts always caused her to fidget. When they were alone on the road she could ignore it, but in a bustling town – even a town full of man-sized toads – she was reminded all too often. Still, she balanced easily when returned to her feet, and gave a little stretch, arms over her head, right hand clasping at left elbow. Back arched a little, chest and butt sticking out just a bit as she watched him move across the room, she quickly stepped her bouncy body over next to him, flashing a bit of nipple through her jacket and fishnet as she did so and then pausing nearby. Junko wasn’t sure, but she was fairly certain this didn’t qualify as a beach, and so his explanation definitely helped her understand at least a little. “Oh! This thing is…” she replied, letting her voice trail off and touching the water with her fingertips, the still pool rippling in her wake. It felt like water to her, the droplets from her index finger causing yet more expanding circles as they rejoined their home in the well. She flicked the liquid from her fingers and nodded, flushing again as he mentioned the possibility of her having a tight fit and crossing her arms under her breasts, pushing them up and together slightly, fingers hugging her exposed sides.

Unfortunately, Junko’s attempt to hide her endowments a bit actually caused her carefully arranged outfit to malfunction again, exposing nipples slightly as she glanced down and to the right. He soon dropped into the well, himself, however, and she leaned over, watching him sink until he seemed to disappear. After a long moment’s hesitation in which she dug her toes into the floor, foot twisting from side to side nervously while one finger came up between her lips to nibble and slightly suckle anxiously on the tip, Junko finally moved forward and sat on the edge with her feet and legs up to the knee in the water. Slowly, she slid into the water, wincing a little as the edge of the wall caught against her rear and caused her to become stuck momentarily. A small wiggle later, she was sinking again, her soft, slender middle easily sinking into the water before, as was previously forecast, her rather large chest stuck against the opening, lifting slightly as they rested on that ledge. It was actually a long moment of wiggling before she turned slightly back over her shoulder to the attendant, and with an embarrassed, timid voice, she murmured, “Junko’s stuck… can you help her?” As humiliating as that was, having the toad’s somewhat slimy hands against her mostly bare breasts and helping her push them in (and, she was pretty sure, getting a few healthy gropes – hey, was that a pinch?!) while her hands were in the air was probably worse, which didn’t do anything for her blush. Finally, however, she had taken that breath and began sinking again, finally seeming to fall through the air with a small yelp before landing in her husband’s arms, red faced and immediately clinging to him. “Toads are perverts,” she commented in the tiniest voice, shrinking in a little. “Let’s get to the beach quickly, Shujin-sama?”

Catching Junko in his arms, his eyes examined her form relatively shamelessly. After all, she was his wife, so what need had he for embarrassment? Her clothes were not only wet, but disheveled as well. "Are they?" He questioned, competent enough to put together the turn of events that had likely unfolded after he exited down the well. Blushing, his wife seemed to cling to him, perhaps a sign that she didn't want to be let down just yet, so he continued to hold her as he began walking, moving away from the deserted street on which they were deposited and towards a more populated street in the shopping district. "Maybe that's where I learned it from," he joked, his thumb brushing one of his wife's nipple's deftly before sliding back to rest with his other fingers, as if he had done nothing at all.

As they walked, Shikaji moved towards a clothing store without thinking too much about where he was going. Walking through the village was more-or-less second nature to him, and he was much more interested in examining Junko's facial expressions, not just from his teasing, but also in reaction to the village itself, as well. It was likely that this was the largest city that she had ever been to, unless perhaps she had ever visited Iwagakure while living at the Cliffhanger, but Shikaji knew that Konohagakure was larger still than even the Hidden Stone Village. After only a few minutes of walking, Shikaji set Junko down on her feet infront of a clothing store, memories of their last trip into such a store dancing through his mind. While he might have enjoyed another incursion into the changing rooms with his wife, he knew that such a thing would have to be avoided today, as they only had so much time before they would eventually be summoned back to the rainy Land of Earth. He had bought her a few outfits at that previous clothing store, but buying her some swimwear here was something that would need to be done anyway, so it wasn't like it would be a wasted trip.

"Now we need to find something to wear. We're on a limited amount of time, so I won't bother going back home to get my swim-shorts, I'll just buy something here. We need to buy you something too. A cute bikini, I think."

She nodded at his affirming question, her cheeks puffing out slightly as she realized that no sympathy would be forthcoming from her husband. A brief intake of breath, and then she huffed slightly, dropping her head to rest on his chest once more in a bit of a pout. Mostly she was upset that the toad's attention had actually gotten her a bit heated. At his further teasing, sensitive flesh this time rubbed by Shikaji, nipples fully erect already, she glanced up at him quickly, almost accusingly, but then settled once more, wiggling her toes as she was carried through the streets. “You seem pretty close to the toads,” she replied, making an effort to let go of the embarrassing situation and letting blue eyes behold the bustling businesses of Konoha. It was truly huge, but since she'd been deposited essentially in the middle of it, she didn't have much of a reference for scale – save for the fact that they kept walking, and walking, and walking and still hadn't even found the end of the street. She turned this way and that, moving her body slightly to try and cover up a bit more when she realized the sheer amount of people here. It was definitely worse than on the mountain.

Junko regained her feet with an uncommon grace, smoothing her skirt over her shorts and tugging her little jacket in toward her middle, covering her a bit more properly. She looked up at Shikaji as he spoke, and what he said made sense. A bikini? That could range in style from sensible to scandalous to downright pornographic, and knowing her husband she wasn't sure if any of them were actually out of the question. “Junko will wear what pleases Shujin-sama's eyes,” she said with a slight smile. It was the truth, and in fact she'd grown fairly happy wearing whatever he wanted her to, even if it was sometimes a bit difficult to deal with. His obvious enjoyment was worth whatever she went through for it.

As usual, Junko confessed that she would wear whatever Shikaji happened to select for her, and that meant the possibilities were practically limitless. He could buy her something tasteful, and she would wear it, or he could buy her the most scandalous thing possible, and she would wear that, too. Even if he didn't buy her that exactly, the notion that she would wear it if told to do so was pleasing in-and-of itself. A soft chuckle left the Nara's lips as he wrapped an arm around her waist, a sign of his pleasure with her answer and as a bit of a possessive and dominating gesture, leading his lover into the shop as Shikaji closed his eyes, opening them around in their natural brown color, his Rinnegan all-together unknown to the people of Konoha, and for the time being, he planned to keep it that way.

Making his way over to the swimsuit section, his arm around Junko's waist shepherding her over towards it, too, Shikaji pondered what might look good on the white-haired woman. Certainly, anything he chose would likely look good to some extent; with curves like hers, any bikini would draw a man's attention, and likely several female glances, too. Perusing the shop's selection, his gaze eventually fell upon a sea-green colored swimsuit. It was adorned with faux gemstones, which also comprised the straps for the top and the bottom. It was closer to a thong bottom than it was a traditional bottom, but Shikaji enjoyed the fact. It could be described as gaudy, but it gave the overall impression that its wearer might be considered spoiled or pampered, but Shikaji enjoyed that, too. After-all, it wasn't that far from the truth.

"You can pick out mine," he instructed, pulling the chosen bikini off of the rack.

She gave a soft laugh as he pulled her close, his arm around her waist no doubt telling everyone in the area that she was for him alone – though obviously he couldn't stop them from looking, she was off-limits for anything else without his say so. Finding that agreeable to her, Junko leaned in against him enough to show her consent without hindering his movement, her weight shifted comfortably as they walked into the little clothing store. The swimwear section wasn't far, but while soaking wet she could only assume it looked a little odd, as though they'd tried to go swimming in their clothes and only realized afterward that they needed the items. When he let his eyes return to their usual brown – at least, usual for others, this was the first time Junko had ever seen it – she let her lips part in a slight little gasp. Even with the Rin'negan active, her form was the more eye-drawing of the two, though Junko had never thought Shikaji unattractive – she was just obviously showing more skin, and with her stark white hair, bright blue eyes, and rather well-endowed form she stood out. That wasn't even mentioning the silver choker that certainly didn't make any illusion about what it was meant to be. She was something of a spectacle everywhere they went, and while that made her nervous, it seemed to make Shikaji proud. She was his spectacle. With his now more obviously mundane eyes, this was doubly so.

As he held up the flashy two-piece for her, she looked at it, trying to imagine herself wearing it, straining against her bust and with only the little clear gems to lead to where it clasped, the little thing more of a thong bikini than anything that would cover her properly. It wasn't often that her butt was on display, but this would certainly do the job, showing off that pale, smooth skin nicely. She took it in hand with a nod, feeling a mixture of excitement and embarrassment. I'll have to get used to this sort of thing one day. I'll have to! she thought to herself, swallowing her anxiety and shaking her head. This was the sort of outfit someone bought a trophy wife. But... I guess I sort of am, she thought again, clutching it close and looking about for the menswear. ... I'll just have to be a really good one. What she chose was a bit simple, she supposed, but a form-fitting pair of swimming briefs in a metallic silver that complimented the seafoam he'd chosen well. “Ah... these?” she asked, holding up the somewhat smaller things. She thought that perhaps Shikaji could take the chance to show off a little, too – he was, after all, a rather handsome man.

Examining the briefs that Junko had selected, Shikaji eventually replied with a curt nod, taking the swimsuit from her and bringing it, along with the bikini, over to the cash-register for payment. He finished a couple of coins out of his pocket, glad that he carried them in addition to paper money, which would need a little while to dry off before it became usable. The briefs that Junko had chosen for him were a little shorter - and tighter - than what he normally wore, but he didn't mind the change all that much. He wasn't ashamed of his body, really, and the selection likely just highlighted the fact that his wife wanted to see him show off a little bit, so he figured that her selection was as good as any other. Once he finished paying for the swimwear, Shikaji led Junko out of the store and back out into the busy street, where the two of them were able to drift back into the obscurity that was offered by such a large crowd of people. Well, as able as they were with Junko being as attractive as she was. Even in a crowd, she tended to catch at least some amount of attention.

From the busy streets of the shopping district, Shikaji began weaving his way through the streets, fingers laced with Junko's, leading her behind him through the throngs of people until the two of them crossed through Konoha's training grounds, passed a wall of trees until the grass suddenly gave way to sand, and the sounds of the village were drowned out by the sound of water and waves. Behind the trees was nestled of one Konoha's more popular attractions, a small man-made beach in one of the far corners of the village; the perfect kind of recreational retreat for people living in a village so far away from any coastline. Similar in popularity to Konoha's famous hotsprings, the little manmade beach was already filled with people, both shinobi and civilian alike, looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life for a short respite of sun and sand. Guiding Junko over to a set of changing stalls on the beach proper, Shikaji untangled their hands, dipping inside one of the changing rooms to swap his still vaguely-wet clothing for his new swimsuit. It was certainly tighter than the swimshorts he was accustomed to, though he couldn't say he disliked Junko's choice of color for them. It was more of a showy piece than Shikaji was used to, but it didn't bother him at all.

Emerging from the changing stall, carrying his wet clothes with one of his hands, he retrieved a large umbrella from the rental station and returned to the changing stalls, awaiting his wife's exit so that they could pick out a spot to set up the umbrella and their belongings, but more importantly, to enjoy her appearance in her new outfit.

Junko couldn’t help a smile at his nod. It was brief, and showed neither pleasure nor displeasure, but to be accepted even with that somewhat stern agreement sent a thrill of happiness through the silver-haired girl. She naturally could only feel pleased as he trotted her to the cashier to pay for the items, and paused quietly as he made the exchange before the pair linked hands again, fingers entwined, and she was led through the crowd. While walking on her own and not being carried she did, in fact, attract less attention, but the turning of heads followed them. She found it easy to follow him even in this somewhat dense population, feet naturally stepping where his might as she was led along behind her husband, moving as quickly as he did. Finally it seemed they were in a less populous area, some kind of field with various treelines, some places where it seemed targets and dummies were set up – there were even a couple of kids younger than her acrobatically duking it out. She tilted her head, finding a bit of an urge to watch, but was pulled along by Shikaji. Ever obedient, Junko thrust the urge aside and followed into the trees for a bit. Is there a beach here? Isn’t that where he said we were going? But I thought- came Junko’s stray thoughts while they traveled through the wooded area, only to be interrupted.

The shade gave way to sun and the soil to sand, the sounds of water rolling in against the beach reaching Junko’s ears. Her eyes widened at the revelation, and she gasped in surprise, a smile gracing her face once more. Jumping in excitement, she glanced about, watching people building sand castles, splashing one another in the water, tanning, relaxing, reading and overall having what seemed to be a wonderful time. The less easily distracted of the two, however, tugged at her hand, and she remembered of course that they hadn’t yet changed, stepping over to the changing stalls which were surprisingly well built wooden affairs about the same size as a store’s dressing room. That memory sent a little buzz down Junko’s body before she was left to her own devices, Shikaji disappearing into a stall. She went into her own, and began to strip down out of the wet clothes she wore, each clinging piece giving a slightly moist slap against the slightly raised bench in the back as she dropped them there. A patched square on the wall with fresh wood screws gave her a little relief from the fact that someone might peek somehow – it was obvious that they monitored and tried to keep these as impregnable as possible, though the faint, mostly scratched out heart above the four inch square did pique her curiosity, and she paused a moment to wonder why someone might do that. There wasn’t any time for that, however – her sequined and jeweled bikini in place, she stepped out to the beach and the gaze of her husband, who now carried a large umbrella. Her clothes in one hand, Junko spun for him, arms out, breasts swaying in their scant captivity, butt bouncing a bit. “Ta-da! Junko’s ready!”

As Junko exited the changing room, the slightest smile crept onto Shikaji's usually stoic face; hard to see, but definitely present. The sight of her new outfit was certainly pleasant, but that was in a physical way. There was something more than that, an intense rush of emotional pleasure whenever she entered his field of vision for the first time. A feeling akin to falling for her all over again, something that told him this was all real if he ever feared that it might have been a dream he was going to awake from at any moment. Of course, such emotional things weren't something that he would likely ever admit to out loud, but they definitely existed. He gave his wife's rear a playful smack as she spun, a gesture to take control of the situation and smother any embarrassment he might have been feeling at the thought.

"You look good," was his compliment, leading her over to a relatively clear section of beach where he impaled the umbrella into the sand, unfolding its top to give the pair a bit of shade from the shining sun above. Tossing down a towel that he had bought at the clothing store along with their swimsuits, Shikaji placed his wet clothes ontop of it, then took Junko's wet clothes and did the same. He could feel the hot sand on his feet, between his toes, very warm but not unpleasantly so. The smell of the sea was pleasant, and even though he knew it was artificial, nothing more than a man-made body of water and not a real beach at all, the illusion was quite convincing. If he didn't know beforehand that it was fake, he could have believed it was truly real.

He cast his brown-eyed gaze towards Junko, his eyes more normal but his gaze no less intense. In her dazzling bikini she looked the part of a trophy wife, a pretty doll. Such a thing wasn't entirely wrong, but she was more than that to him, much more, though that didn't mean that he didn't like to tease her about it. He loved to watch her blush and squirm when she was flustered. "I think you're the envy of the beach," he spoke, glancing around and finding several pairs of eyes directed at the two of them, some of them looking away once they had been caught, others not. "What do you think they would like to watch us do?" He asked teasingly, a simple question about what she would want to do on the beach, though it teased a dirty connotation, knowing that his wife was a bit of an exhibitionist, and her mind was likely to drift to other interpretations of his words.

The smack against her rear was a stinging delight that caused her to jump and squeak, the place he’d touched slightly pink. Her head turned toward him, Junko was about to whine about his less than tender affection when he spoke, complimenting her. His wife sighed, unable to chastise him after all, and with a slight smile simply followed him to the empty space on the beach, the much smaller girl needing more steps to keep up with his longer stride. According to geography, this place couldn’t exist, but it was everything she’d ever heard about the beach, gritty and salty and wet in the air. Her feet burned slightly in the sunbaked sand, but Junko didn’t mind, handing over her wet clothes so that he could lay them out, fishnet and all. Her blue eyes wandered the beach for a long moment. There were so many people playing with inflatable balls, laying out in the sun tanning, running around chasing one another, splashing in the waves… and staring at her. Most turned their eyes away when she saw them, but a few only intensified their stare or even gave her a sort of smirk, to which she averted her gaze, a bit embarrassed. Hands clasped behind her back as she glanced down at the sand shyly, cheeks heating up a bit.

Shikaji spoke again, and she glanced up at the words, eyes widening in a bit of surprise and looking guilty. Does he think I’m trying to get them to look at me? I’m really not! I can’t help that this swimsuit is- she managed to think before he questioned her. She knew what being undressed by someone’s eyes felt like, and that tingle was on her from several directions, those that continued to admire her and, perhaps in some cases, her husband clearly wanting to see more. His teasing lilt gave her another set of thoughts entirely, and she squirmed in place, toes digging into the sand to find that it was cooler a few inches under the surface. “J-Junko doesn’t know, Shujin-sama,” she replied softly, imagining an audience watching as she was not-so-discreetly taken on the beach. He seemed the type of man that might like that sort of thing, letting them be envious of his prize. Was he the type to share? He hadn’t seemed such thus far, but there were still many things about him she still didn’t know. Junko was certain he wasn’t hiding things on purpose, but maybe his life led him to be secretive without thinking about it. Toads, and his no less intense brown eyes – two things she’d never known before now had suddenly been introduced almost casually. What more might she discover about her husband?

Junko flushed under Shikaji's teasing, and he wondered what she feared - or perhaps, hoped - he might do to her here. Whatever her expectations, Shikaji had already figured out what they would do. Or, more specifically, he had a list of things that they would do. Shikaji didn't visit the beach frequently, and he didn't care too much about it, not that he hated it either, so he didn't really care what it was that they did. However, they hadn't come here for him, they had come here for Junko, and so he chose (he didn't bother asking; he knew her answer was likely to be to do whatever he wanted to do) a routine of usual beachtime activities. He leaned a bit closer to her, clasping a hand on her ass, his grip firm and possessive as he pulled her a little closer, leaning his head down to whisper huskily into her ear.

"I can only imagine the things they would do to you," he teased, squeezing her rear and letting out a soft, dark chuckle. He let the taunt hang in the air for a moment, as if he were considering tossing her to the wolves, before nipping softly at her earlobe. "Unfortunately for them, I'm the only one allowed to touch," he whispered, tapping a fingernail against Junko's ever-present collar with a light clink. "But maybe I'll solicit some ideas." Releasing Junko's rear, placing his hands on his hips and laughing, Shikaji easily switched back to a more publicly decent appearance, as if he hadn't just been dirty-talking his wife only seconds ago. "Come on, let's go play volleyball," he instructed.

Delicate hands reached up to rub red cheeks, trying to will the embarrassment away. Leaning in, Shikaji gripped her exposed butt, pulling Junko close and leaning down to share his thoughts privately, voice dropping to a hush. Her eyes widened a little at the long pause afterward, and her weight shifted, squirming a bit. The soft sand below her sandals gave way at her nervous, somewhat excited movement. She’d never really been one to be shy about her sexuality before, but he made everything she thought, everything she might experience, seem dirty and somehow a delicious mixture of shame and excitement. Her heart fluttered for a long moment before he assuaged her – fears? – and assured her that he was the only one to enjoy her personally. It was something of a relief, though now that the idea had been planted in her head, she wouldn’t be able to help perhaps thinking he had more in mind. Her nipples pressing against her bikini top, she debated rubbing them to make them go down or just try and ignore them so as not to draw attention. The latter was preferable, and so shoulders rose and fell in a calming breath before she nodded, threw on a smile, and followed Shikaji to play. “Okay!”

His teasing had the desired effect, causing Junko to fluster and blush in that way that looked so cute, certainly too cute for Shikaji to resist, leaving Shikaji unable to help himself sometimes. A guilty pleasure that he allowed himself, teasing her in that way that he knew she enjoyed, too. And given he had so few pleasures these days, this was something that he allowed himself to keep. The fact that he was a sadist really just only added onto the experience. He shepherded her away from their umbrella and over towards the area where a few volleyball nets had already been sparsely set up. A few people were already playing, either solo against each other or in pairs, serving balls back and forth over the net with various amounts of skill, ranging from hobbyist to solidly amateur. The group that was playing the best, Shikaji assumed from the ways that they moved, were likely ninja, just as he was. The speed and reflexes that shinobi learned as part of their every day life did tend to work well when playing sports, albeit with a bit of practice and tampering that varied from sport to sport. Glancing towards Junko, letting his ring-eyed gaze fall on her crystalline blue one, he posed the question of how to play to her, since, while he enjoyed teasing her, he didn't want to push her out of her comfort zone and embarrass her. Not for playing volleyball, anyway.

"Do you want to play solo first, or try two-on-twos?"

Junko managed to regain her composure, at least a little bit used to Shikaji and his personality and able to bounce back a little more quickly. She walked across the shifting sands, the man-made beach warm against her feet as they moved toward the taped area with the nets, several people already tossing white volleyballs in the air. She hadn't ever played the game, but watching, she could easily figure out the basics. Keep the ball in the air, don't hit it twice in a row, don't hit the net. There were probably some more intricate rules like where one had to stand, based on the way they were playing, but she was sure if there was something like that, Shikaji would tell her. Still, the decision to play with others or between the two of them didn't really seem like something she was concerned with - despite her certain shyness, she never felt unconfident when it came to meeting new people. "Are there any friends of yours here? You could introduce me and see if they want to play," she offered, smiling and shrugging.

Junko, as she was perhaps want to often do, redirected Shikaji's question back to him with the affirmation that she didn't mind very much either way. The Nara shrugged, not that he really minded having to make the choice. It wasn't too much of a bother either way, and he did generally consider himself a relatively decisive person. In response to his wife's question, Shikaji glanced around, his brown eyes squinting softly against the bright rays of the early-afternoon sun, as the tokubetsu jounin searched the crowd of assembled beach-goers for any familiar faces. He didn't seem to find any, however, which was perhaps to be expected given that Shikaji wasn't a particularly outgoing or extroverted person. He had a group of people that he was particularly close to, namely his elder sister, though she wasn't a shinobi, and his best friend, Chojiro. Beyond that, Shikaji had several acquaintances, but not many people that he would particularly consider friends.

He noticed a few familiar faces - someone who was in his class at the academy, but who he hadn't kept up with, and someone who worked at the Hokage Complex - but no one that he knew particularly well, and neither of them were playing volleyball, anyway. "I don't see any," he said, walking over to one of the open volleyball nets and picking up a stray volleyball from a pile of extra beach equipment nearby. He spun the ball in his hands a few times, brushing off a few excess sand particles as he motioned with his head for Junko to take up position on the other side of the net. "We can practice a bit first, then find a group to play against."

Though it seemed he tried, Shikaji wasn’t able to find anyone he particularly wanted to introduce her to. That was fine enough – Junko didn’t mind just playing with him at first, and didn’t mind a little competition later. She made a bouncing little jog to her side of the net, feet picking the places where the sand was least likely to send her tumbling from a misstep. The artificial sea sent a salty scent into the air, and she breathed it with a smile, closing blue eyes for a moment and then letting them open to see her husband across the net. “Please let Junko know if she violates any rules,” she requested politely, bowing her head slightly. One thumb came down to adjust the bottom of her bikini, sliding the strap up a little and causing butt to jiggle slightly before she looked around at the area and then chose a place somewhere near the middle of her side of the net. Figuring that was the best place to be for a one-on-one, she shrugged and smiled, hands up in a sort of ‘ready’ position that wasn’t really necessary but did signal that she was ready. “…and let’s have fun!”

There was something certainly relaxing about being here with Junko. Even Shikaji, usually so somber, felt calm and relaxed in her presence, which was an impressive feat. There was something about her that seemed to soothe his soul, as if prompting him, comforting him, telling him that for just a little moment, he could let down his guard and relax. Raising the ball slightly, Shikaji tossed it into the air infront of himself, gaining a slight running start before knocking the ball into the air and over the net, towards Junko's side of the court. He aimed it off to the girl's left. He didn't see a particular need to hold back - especially given what he had seen during their arms training, he knew that his wife was certainly a woman possessing a great deal of physical talent - and so he aimed his shot true, with the intention of scoring. However, just because he felt like he could let his guard down didn't mean that he did. He had every expectation that the white-haired woman on the other side of the net would return the ball, not let it fall so simply onto the ground on her side of the court.

Shikaji's movements were not specifically wondrous. He was of an above-average capability, to be sure, but where grace and form were concerned he was no superhuman. This, Junko was glad for, because it meant she could always watch his confident steps, always see him move and play and work and never miss a second. She really didn't know why she felt that way about him, in specific, and more than once she had wondered if he'd put her under some kind of spell after all. If he had, she had decided in the end, she didn't mind. It was nice this way. He didn't mistreat her - not in any way that wasn't both forgivable and, to her shame, enjoyable - and she was going to be treated as the wife of an important ninja. If someone were to come and explain what had happened, offered to rescue her, she would be very likely to simply refuse. There was no meaning in her life at the Cliffhanger. She worked and lived and found happiness where she could. There was meaning here, however - she could be something to someone, be loved and cherished and led to live a fruitful life.

The serve came, and Junko watched the ball, stepping left, forming a loose fist and bumping the ball back into the air, just over the net. It wasn't the most skillful of plays, but it would require Shikaji to step closer to the net himself and likely lob the ball up in a predictable fashion. She gave a little laugh at the simple joy of being able to play a game with him, even if her outfit threatened to expose her when she moved too quickly.

Junko's shot was short - just barely over the net - but by the skill with which it was hit, Shikaji knew that the shot and its location had been completely intentional, meant to force Shikaji into an uncomfortable position. Moving forward to return the ball would mean that, if Junko ran forward to spike the return at the far corner of the court, Shikaji would be woefully out of place to respond to it. Still, it wasn't like he could simply let the ball hit the ground, that was just conceding defeat and losing anyway. He moved forward, feeling the warm sand on his feat, as he brought his hands together, knocking the ball high up into the air and far over the net. The shot wasn't accurate, he didn't particularly aim it to any one part of the court, only towards the back side of it. If he had replied in kind and simply knocked the ball lightly over the net, Junko would have, with her incredible natural abilities, been able to spike the ball immediately to any part of Shikaji's side of the court, and would have scored an easy point. He had to knock the ball far back to the edge of Junko's court; from there, a spike would be borderline impossible. And, while Junko would have free reign over where she would want to hit the ball, even to spots that might have been difficult to reach, as long as she didn't spike it, recovery was at least possible.

Junko grinned at the counterplay. She’d predicted him perfectly, knowing he’d take her seriously as an opponent and opting to find the safest play, which was to keep the ball in the air in such a fashion that she couldn’t find an easy point. That, of course, was what she’d been aiming for from the beginning – she didn’t want either of them to simply dominate the game. The point of this was about the play itself, for her, and dragging it out for as long as possible was her ultimate goal. She watched first Shikaji, then glanced at the ball as she backed up on the sand. Her sandals shifted into the white grains softly, finding balance even on the uneven sand that threatened to remove all traction. Just based on where the ball hit her husband’s hands she could predict – and another glance at the ball confirmed – how it would travel, and a pause before turning, giving a slight hop and bouncing the sphere against her clasped hands had it sailing back. The ball was high enough that it would be impossible to spike, and would hit the very back left corner of his area, just at the crook where vertical tape met horizontal.

“This is fun!”

It was very clear, even to Shikaji's regular eyes, that Junko was enjoying herself. That fact alone warmed Shikaji's heart, especially after how arduous that travels had become of late. It almost distracted him for a moment, as Junko's return soared over the net, expertly aimed towards the corner of Shikaji's half of the court. A spectator certainly would never have been able to guess that this was Junko's first time playing volleyball. Jogging backwards, Shikaji distanced himself from the net, sliding backwards through the sun-warmed sands. He had to cross a great distance, however, and the ball quickly approached the ground, forcing Shikaji to dive in order to save the shot. He could feel the warm sand all over his skin as he took the dive, knocking the ball to the side with his extended left hand, sending it recklessly hurtling over the net. The shot was saved, but Shikaji didn't rush to get up from the sand. Such a shot would be more than easy for Junko to spike back over the net for the first point of the game. Slowly standing, the tokubetsu jounin brushed some of the excess sand off of himself and glanced through the net towards Junko, giving her an approving smile should she successfully score the point.
