Shiko was obviously just as surprised as their sensei with how things played out. Aoi kicking him was a bit annoying, and he wasn't quite sure how to handle it. He opted to just ignore her until she either apologized or found a way to make it up to him. The young teenager whipped his hair around and seemed determined to learn.
At least until she explained it.. Spider... Really? He looked down at his leg, and back to Aoi. What?
"I don't see a spider there... I guess that means your kick squished it... Good job, Aoi,"
he said seriously, with NO doubt whatsoever in her lie. Sufficed to say Shiko was not proficient in wisdom saving throws, nor did he have proficiency in the "insight" skill or a naturally high Wisdom score. This was very sub-optimal for a Monk.
Accepting the explanation, he ran with Aoi and the others and began doing laps around the village. He wasn't really expecting newcomers though, so as his sweaty toned body paced and stepped across the village streets, the young Monk was more than surprised. The young girl introduced herself... sorta (not really giving a name just... inviting herself along while asking what they were doing). Not that he cared that much. Extra company was always welcome.
"We're training with that weird old guy over there...,"
Shiko explained as quietly as he could, hoping that the words didn't reach their rent-a-sensei.
When the other guy showed up and asked the same thing, Shiko (a little annoyed at the repetition) answered back again.
"We're training... Running laps apparently. Wanna join us?"
