Faction of Origin:
Unlike the majority of his clan, Mizui was born with teal hair, which was quite a stark contrast to the predominantly white-haired clan. A bit of a runt Mizui was always the smallest amongst his friends and in the academy, only reaching five feet when he was fourteen and graduated from the academy. Mizui generally wears a kimono when off-duty with a more natural color pallet to it, not being one for fancy do-das on his apparel. When on duty he typically wears a blue shirt with a white lining under his shinobi flak jacket, two wrist sleeves pulled down over his forearms, black pants, and the traditional black shinobi sandals. The one aspect of his personality that he gives any aesthetical attention to is his pipe, which can be commonly found in his robes or held in his hand while smoking it.
Neither of Mizui’s parents were shinobi, nor their parents before them. He came from an oddly pacifistic family in the typically savage and battle-born clan, having lived outside of the clan estate due to their vast differences. This made for a fairly sheltered childhood, his parents feared from the slightest instances of violence that were typical of any young boy that he would turn out to be a demon of the mist like so many in their clan. It was early on in his youth that he first picked Chemistry, being his parent's profession they gladly helped him through the ropes and quickly saw his natural talent for the craft. He even began to help out at their shop, experimenting with his mother on new recipes for medicine and growing plants with his father. Though as much as his parents tried to deny it Mizui was one destined for the shinobi way of life, while never picking fights with others he always managed to get out unscathed.
Eventually, they let him join the academy after much pleading, luckily this upbringing gave him a better appreciation for life then most children thrust into the world of shinobi. In the academy he took to the art of Kenjutsu rather quickly, even though his strength was similarly lacking as his height was he made use of his cunning and speed to compensate and even excel. It was here that he met his first true friend Sanui, both progressing together in the shinobi arts and graduating in the same year. Sanui seemed to have many impressive aspirations which Mizui very much looked up to, unsure of his own place in the world or even his clan being between his immediate family and the more battle-centric ones in the Hozuki district.
Soon after his graduation Mizui had an unfortunate run-in with a group of cultists who performed a strange ritual on him. Unbeknownst to Mizui this ritual involved sealing a biju inside of him, the slippery and dangerous slug Saiken. Luckily his assigned teacher 11 is an incredibly skilled Jounin and was there to quell the raging beast in an instance where it leaked out. Mizui then participated in the Chūnin exams without his original team who couldn’t take the stress of shinobi life. It was here that he met a new friend and teammate Jubie and although they lost they learned a good deal about one another. Shortly after the first match, the warmongering Hokage Kanari announced a joint war with Sunagakure against Kemurigakure, which quickly descended into chaos. While being on the frontlines for a good portion of the conflict he was never truly squared off against an enemy combatant, merely dodging techniques and performing medical jutsu for injured comrades from a particularly powerful Mokuton technique.
After the war's first conflict, Mizui devoted this time to honing his battle capability not just for the battles to come but for his own internal struggle with the sealed chakra demon. He'd been fortunate enough not to have another episode, but in truth, he was really avoiding stressful situations and playing it safe while honing his skills. Luckily he continued to make comrades as olds ones departed and had begun to train with the Seven Swordsman leader Kyo along with his friend Jubei in preparation for the mission they had been assigned in the operation to strike back against Konoha.

Kenjutsu Specialists can understand, learn, and use kenjutsu. They have developed an understanding of attack and defense patterns. They have trained sufficiently in the use of swords to have become effectively ambidextrous. Kenjutsu Specialists can track movement at a tier and a Major Advantage higher than they would otherwise be able, and they receive seven advantages to their Strength, their Reflex, or their Coordination while performing kenjutsu; the distribution of the granted advantages must be selected at the time the Specialist rank in the Kenjutsu Skill is acquired, and cannot be allocated in increments greater than a single tier to any one Attribute. The weapons-based chakra flow techniques of Kenjutsu Experts are treated as if they were a rank higher in power. Kenjutsu Specialists may select one sword they own to make their “selected sword”. Their selected sword is treated as two ranks of crafting higher, up to Master-crafted, for the purposes of durability. If their selected sword is destroyed or lost, they may choose a new one. They receive four swords of any kind which, if lost, they can replace upon entering a village (unless that village is hostile to the character). They can create up to S-Rank customs for kenjutsu. Mizui has placed 3 advantages into Reflexes, 3 advantages into Coordination and 1 advantage into Strength.
Fūinjutsu Experts can understand, learn, and use fūinjutsu. They are automatically trained in the Enclosing Technique and the Unsealing Technique, and receive three scrolls which, if lost, they can replace upon entering a village (unless that village is hostile to the character). They are well-versed in analyzing, formulating, and disrupting seals, and receive a Minor Advantage to their Wisdom when using fūinjutsu or interacting with seals and they can create some of their seals without paper or tools, transforming their calculations into ink with nothing but chakra at a touch for fūinjutsu up to B-Rank. Fūinjutsu Experts can create up to S-Rank customs for fūinjutsu.
Ijutsu Experts can understand, learn, and use Ijutsu techniques, and have practical anatomical and diagnostic training. They have extensive knowledge of anatomy, can perform surgery (notably, including organ transplants). Ijutsu Experts are automatically trained in the Mystical Palm Technique and receive a field medicine kit, whose contents they can replenish upon entering a village (unless that village is hostile to the character). They are familiar enough with common poisons (though primarily in the context of how to counter them) that they are able to craft Journeyman-level antidotes. Ijutsu Experts receive a pool of 60 Stamina Points that may only be spent on Ijutsu techniques, and they receive a Major Advantage to their Coordination when attacking an opponent's vital organs. Ijutsu Adepts can create up to S-Rank customs for Ijutsu.
Ninjutsu Experts can understand, learn, and use ninjutsu. They use half as many hand seals as would otherwise be required for all techniques (which may reduce the number of required hand seals to zero). Ninjutsu of a chosen element is treated as a rank more powerful (up to a maximum of S-Rank; if an Attribute-boosting technique has its power increased in this manner, its returns also diminish at a Minor Advantage less per tier). Ninjutsu Experts receive a Major Advantage to their Coordination for the purposes of aiming and can perform hand seals as if the Attribute used were a Major Advantage higher for all techniques. Ninjutsu Experts may select a technique that they know, and permanently reduce the number of hand seals required to use it to one (this reduction does not stack with any other reduction). Ninjutsu Experts receive a pool of 60 Stamina Points that may only be spent on ninjutsu. They can create up to S-Rank customs for ninjutsu. Mizui had chosen Suiton as his main element.
Kuchiyose Experts understand summoning contracts and can learn and use summoning techniques. They can create their own custom contract with a unique type of creature. They are automatically trained in the Summoning Technique. Kuchiyose Experts are familiar enough with the process of summoning they can perform the Summoning Technique without the use of hand seals. They may choose one summon to be their "partner". Partnered summons receive a Major Advantage to the Attributes that are their summoner's highest and second-highest base Attribute (if multiple Attributes are the Kuchiyose Expert's highest or second-highest Attributes, they may select which Attributes are affected, respectively). A Kuchiyose Expert's talent with and knowledge of summoning contracts allows them to sign a second contract (though they can still only create one custom contract; effectively, this allows a Kuchiyose Expert to sign a contract belonging to another person in-character). They have three slots for summons and can create up to S-Rank custom summoning techniques. Mizui has chosen Sesshō-Seki as his summoning partner, giving +2 to Reflexes and +2 to Coordination.
Expert: Sensory Experts understand chakra signatures, and can learn and use sensory techniques. They are automatically trained in the Sensing Technique. Using this technique, a Sensory Expert is capable of sensing all chakra signatures at once on the battlefield, within a 350-meter range. They are capable of sensing the intent, amount (as represented by Stamina), nature transformation, and intent of chakra. While using the Sensing Technique, a Sensory Expert is capable of detecting if an individual is caught in a genjutsu by focusing on the flow of their chakra (though they are incapable of detecting this of themselves). Sensory Experts are capable of passively sensing beings with enormous chakra; they are alerted if anyone with Epic or higher Stamina enters their sensory range (even if the Sensing Technique is not active). While the Sensing Technique is active, they gain a Major Advantage to their Reflex and Coordination for the purposes of evasion. Sensory Experts can create up to S-Rank customs for sensory.
Medicine. Poison. Drugs. Explosives. All derived from the use of chemicals, all apart of the craft of the Chemist. Chemistry covers the art of combining various ingredients to create concoctions of varying potency. Combat drugs, medicinal paste, weaponized venoms and gunpowder are all examples of what chemistry entails.
Master Craftsmen are those have been officially recognized by others of their trade for their work. Masters are fully recognized tradesmen, able to take on apprentices and employ journeyman to work under themselves. Allows the making of master-crafted items, which are of Master-level durability and take 10 days IRL to make. Journeyman-level items take only 1 day to make, while Apprentice-level items take only 1 hour to make.

One-handed seals - Can perform one-handed seals
Steady Hands - Having been taught Chemistry from an early age and by fabulous teachers, Mizui is able to craft Chemistry items in half the normal time.
“Suiteki” - Mizui has received his family's heirloom sword that was said to have the soul of an ancient Hozuki smith sealed within it. It is able to release a sphere of water amounting to twenty-cubic meters, costing a D-Rank amount of chakra. Moving the blade will break the form of a sphere, water only lasts until the end of a topic. This can only be done once a topic, afterward, it must be laid in a river or lake for two IRT days to replenish. The blade is a standard katana with a decorative sheath he'd purchased once he'd graduated from the academy.
Butters - Suffers -1 tier of Dex when performing one-handed seals
Water's Weight - When using Suiteki Mizui does not receive any of the stat boosts given by the Ken FS due to its enhanced weight.
